Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) level of training is the minimum training requirement in the State of Iowa to transport patient in an ambulance to a hospital.  This training includes classroom with psychomotor skill practice with onsite clinical/field training. Students must register and pass with 80% to be eligible to take the NREMT certification exam. Books, uniform shirt and study sites included in price of course. This course is based on the National EMT educational standards.

First Day of class is mandatory and includes Course, National, and State registration and you will receive your book, course syllabus, handbook, and materials.The second night (10/23/25) will be mandatory BLS training starting at 6:00pm - 10:00 pm, Ag Science Building Emmetsburg Campus, Rm 3209.
